Seven Deadly Sins Act 2: Pride

wow… i had a lot of fun with this escalation! and i will definitely be returning to try the other kill methods

even though the map isnt changed much, i appreciate all the new sound effects and voice lines, as well as the new (low-resolution) skybox :joy:

Cam anyone confirm who the voice in the escalation is? I’m not sure if it is Soders.

it’s just the peacock speaking, i thought. the voice actor is the same one who voices The Collector (Matthew Gravelle)

Ever hear of the peacock with the cockney accent?

That was pretty fun! Some interesting setups on the “hard” path - I liked getting around Chongqing and especially the ICA facility without a lockpick or changing disguises.

Have to go the “easy” route and see how much fun it is.

Better than the Greed one, and probably the 2nd best escalation so far (after the Satu Mare Delirium) but still pretty linear and restricted overall. Liked the “easy” and “hard” theme which gave it a little more replay value doing both methods, but not much. Definitely getting tired of escalations though.

Level-3 was just way too easy, even with the Fibre Wire “Ghost Assassin” Not even a single Huh? What? from anyone :slightly_smiling_face:

I always notice what a bad gamer I am because I found the Pride escalation really difficult haha

I can’t get the “Hubris” feat. I assume this is for doing the “hard” path on all three levels (correct me if I’m wrong)

The problem seems to be that I did the “easy” path first, and unlocked both “humility” and “ambivalence” first (the latter by going back in and doing level 3 the hard way). Then I reset the escalation to do it “the right way”. Now when I complete level 1 with the hard path, the narrator sounds overjoyed but when I start level 2 I still get the “disappointed” intro. And nothing unlocked after I beat all three levels on hard path (SA as well)

EDIT: got it now. I think there’s a chance that this doesn’t reset properly after you’ve done the “loud” way in level 1 but that it clears up if you exit the game entirely and reenter. Or maybe they patched it since I last tried.

I do not remember reading this anywhere: Do the new unlocks have a special feature again like the coin-stick from Greed?

Seems to be the voice is the peacock itself, even though it’s talking about itself in third person since the only names in the credits for Pride are Jane Perry for Diana and Matthew Gravelle for “Peacock”.

Nope. Not this time unfortunately.

That was a great escalation! Although not that hard.
Was only angry with the third act. My last victim there (Alicia Reynolds) kept getting spotted through walls two times in a row. So annoying! Also on this note: I’m still trying to finish one of those featured contracts. The one where you have to kill everyone in the ICA Facility with fire. As I have no idea yet how to start the fire down there, at least I don’t remember it from the story, I decided to subdue everyone in the Facility. With only about 10 more people to go (after a very long playthrough) someone from the floor on the very bottom saw a KO’d guard on one of the top floors. The walls and floors in the facility must be made of glass.

No doubt the game has an issue with NPCs seeing through walls. But Alicia is surrounded by windows you can black out, did you do that?

Did that. And on my second run I lured her into the core and dumped her over the railing. On my way to the exit she got found.

That was fun.

Overall really good escalation, nice choices for each level and quite impressed dialogue is changed at the start of each escalation depending on choice. Do wonder what other stuff they can track between escalations.

Though in both the Greed and Pride it feels like it is missing something like at level 3 one of the last NPCs to kill needed to be a unique NPC with a different path, like the Prince going around the palace or the ICA Director wandering around the facility. Would make it stand-out abit more and cap off the Sin with someone who could embody it. Could even be way to bring NPCs in from other levels like Helmut Kruger or Dexter

She doesn’t get spotted through wall. She get spotted by Imogen Royce when she is using the terminal.

In the room where Alicia Reynolds is there are a invisible camera. You can only use the cameras by terminal. And 47 is not the only one who can use the terminal. When Imogen Royce goes to the room where the terminal is, then she uses the terminal and by using it she can see trough the invisible cameras.

random thought time

"DON’T listen to her. We don’t need her anymore. What does she know? Sitting behind her desk. Telling you what to do and not getting her hands dirty.

You are much better than that. You are the Apex Predator.

Show her how it’s done."

I’m gonna go out on a HUGE limb and say that it would be pretty cool if this is some set-up to a future Sin DLC involving a Diana model swap. I wanna see her get her hands dirty. (If IO have even planned far enough yet)
This could be 47’s Lust to see Diana out in the field?

Would also be a unique challenge of not being able to use any of the largely male disguises (or maybe none at all).

We get 47 in her Mendoza dress. But it sparkles.
