The Booze Thread

Very nice whiskey. I have their original"Featherbone" bourbon of which I’m down to the last few drops, unfortunately it’s next to impossible to get it in the UK anymore.

The worst I’ve ever felt while drinking has to be during school when I just kept downing red wine to make it through an evening with people I couldn’t stand. Ended up clinging to my toilet for dear life while reciting the Chant of Light lol

Same here, and i produce an ungodly amount of vomit. But this wont stop me from getting absolutely hammered from time to time

Guess I’ll never learn

My worst would be at my uncle’s 50th birthday party. Just heard they were letting me go at my job and was motivated to turn this depressing eve into a fun night. Drank a shitload of bears to the point where I lost count.

Cut to me waking up in the middle of the night immediatly vomiting over my pillow, on the floor and over the toilet. Still so drunk I straight up dove back into bed with the vomit still on my pillow. Cleaned it up in the morning, totally confused.

I’m curious, how do you liquefy them? Do you chop them up first, then blend them? What about the fur and bones? Must be a hell lot of work getting rid of. Not to mention catching those bastards in the first place, though I guess it’s easier with cubs or so… Still, hope you didn’t get much trouble from the park rangers or whoever is the responsible authority where you live :+1:

My little Whisky/Whiskey mini bar.

I hidden my Tullamore Dew a bit, I could have done the same with my Jack. But I do enjoy Jack Daniel’s, unlike Tullamore.

Other than that there is my current favourite Masterson’s 12 Year Rey, my Oban - GOT Nightwatch limited edition and the Newcomer Suntory Hibiki.

I really don’t like Whiskey, but this one appeals to me somehow

I wonder why

Is there a difference between “Whiskey” and “Whisky”, besides the “e”?

I dunno just have the feeling that it is the best one and all the follow ups just cant reach its greatness

Whisky is from Scotland, Whiskey is from Ireland. The Americans spell it similar to the Irish.

Lovely little selection of the main whisky regions!

Can’t go wrong with Oban and Tullamore for your scotch and Irish, never had the Masterson’s but it has great reviews and of course JD is a classic. If you get a chance I’d highly recommend giving the JD ‘single barrel select’ a try, definitely the best Jack you can buy “off the shelf”.

And Hibiki Harmony is a stunning whisky, one of my favourite regulars, although the price is going crazy steep nowadays.

Enjoy! :tumbler_glass:

It’s an older whiskey from a small independent distillery and they no longer sell it…

Maybe you can contact them and petition for a re-release

I also prefer rye over bourbon, Canadian, and Irish, although Scotch is still my fav by far. If you like that one try Bulleit Rye for mixing and (if you can find it) Journeyman Rye for sipping.

@Norseman Tullamore Dew isn’t the worst Irish ever.

The largest mojito I have ever seen.

If you can get it - I recommend the Japanese Suntory Yamazaki single malt

Extremely smooth and tasty.

I love that! It’s similar to scotch though. If he likes rye then it will be different. This is what I love about whiskey though. So many variations to try (=

Thanks man. Olivas are really nice, I’d definitely recommend the regular Serie V or the V Melanio if you get the chance.
