I think if they put saving and loading back in and not forced us to have every item in our inventory like in 2016 they’d be fine.
There has been negativity towards Hitman since I first found this place when H2016 was the thing. This is nothing new and as long as people are polite about giving the negative feedback it is quite useful data for ioi.
I can say the recent news has soured my attitude towards it. True, was never going to pre order. But i feel like a couple of weeks will make the game cheaper.
The whole cross progression thing on PC soured it for me. I am not paying for a game I already own on the same platform, but on a different launcher, and both companies who make said launchers have means to do cross-saves and free game DLC packages properly.
I suppose some criticism can help improve the game, although you get another percentage of fans who just moan for the sake of moaning.
I guess the negativity was deserved after all now that IO pulled 2 stunts on their PC Community.
They spät in your face said nothing and then spat again but this time really gathering up all the disgusting shit and then spitting and walking away.
They should put this on my grave.
In the end, it’s still good to be pessimistic about something
I was dissapointed but still hyped for the game and willing to play quite big amount of money on different platform because I’m still a huge Hitman fan…
(I’m after reading whole post-launch carryover progress post).
…but now changed my mind. Im fucking pissed for real. You want to have negativity? Now IOI just fully deserved. Why I’ve hate Epic Store situation so much? Because it’s just unfair move and now we need buy AGAIN whole H1 and H2 to have full game! This is riddiclous!
@Travis_IOI @Clemens_IOI Seriously IO Interactive you fucked up for real now! That is how you treat loyal fans and customers?
I totally agree the negativity is now justified. I have seen the true face of IO. I’m sorry i was optimistic and naive. I guess you can’t be that with IO…
I guess we all thought they’d finally learned from their communication errors in the past. Maybe this will be the issue that really shows them they’ve got to reflect on how they treat their loyal customers.
they are ending Hitman anyway. 007 will be their new bag for a few years, only setting people up for a Hitman return 5-10 years from now, if they even do that.
They will only do that if the James Bond thing goes bad. I think they’ve seen what a headache Hitman is for them. Thing is… If they keep doing this things for the James Bond game… it will not look very good.
I’ve been on the fence thinking about buying hitman 3 on epic. There have been a lot of good and bad news surrounding the game, and looking at the pros and cons, it’s clear to me at least, that the game is leaning to the negative side. On one hand, you get the conclusion to the hitman storyline, new locations, interesting concepts, but on the other hand, you have stuff like: Having to use the epic games launcher, which may even mean the game won’t work for me, as hitman 2016 did not work at all for me from the egs store, but worked on steam. You also have to re buy content which you own, vr is pretty much confirmed to be playstation 4, they did next to nothing to fix the bloom, from the trailers shown, we have seen pretty much no gameplay improvements, and I may be a bit skeptical, but ioi’s choice to flat out remove the ephone instead of re working it kinda shows how little they care about content preservation. In addition to this, the “deluxe pack” seems like overpriced 30 dollar garbage. The two new mechanics shown, ei the camera and the shortcuts, look very underwhelming, and is far from the new gameplay twist we need to freshen up the gameplay loop. We also got to see the “new” joke of a rating system, which just slaps a random name in the rating screen. Fundamentally, we know that this game won’t be much different from hitman 2, so waiting a year, and buying the game on steam when it has all of its content and fixes, seems like the right choice for me.
Michael Does Life is gonna have a field day with this.
Euuugh that’s such a vile image but it’s true though.
I wouldn’t exactly call it content preservation. They removed Sgail challenges a long time ago did that make the game that much worse?
Got the devil suit though
.
I mean that’s how it worked in Blood Money.
But ultimately after all those disagreements I agree completely with your conclusion. If I was a PC guy I wouldn’t be buying H3.
there were also proper stats like witnesses etc. that’s also important considering how small a feature this is
I mean they do keep track of witnesses in game. If you kill a witness you get back the never spotted bonus.
you have played blood money, haven’t you? otherwise i just don’t see how you would say something so out of left field. there’s a huge difference between saying “there were some witnesses (maybe those were cameras even)” and “there were 15 witnesses”. it’s the same for almost every part of the statistics the new game has to offer. also, one would naturally expect such feature to be extended in comparison to 15 years ago
Yeah but they literally keep track of everything you do online even if they don’t show it. Plus the game itself counts how many unconscious witnesses there are. From what I see the playstyles are awarded based on how you play and it’s not just random. You’re basing your opinion on how you’re rated entirely off of a guess.
