After spending a few days here, now I see the negativity you were talking about lol
it feels lazy, nobody liked that the first time it was introduced, it clutters the inventory. that’s more than enough explanation, i think
Yeah. It’s only your perspective
They could just remove whole Matchmaking (which was very problematic) and leave it just for invite your friend.
I bet they learned from Cyberpunk 2077 to don’t make promisses which can’t be delivered. So I guess they prefer to be quiet than sorry. But still it’s last part of whole “platform” and can’t imagine that they won’t make any DLC from time to time. Like i’ve mention im fanboy and I’ll buy everything which they throw at me, but I expect they will improve things.
I expected to improve some thing which don’t work propetly and for which they don’t have budget to fix in H2. Like Item sorting, some options in contract mode, deleting own contracts, throw lock system and many more minor anoying things. Anything that may make that feel that you buy new improved version of game not just a map pack.
I understand that they had tight budget for H2 and that was a small compromise. But this time they could rework this. I have few ideas. Lockpick for example: each “MK” unlock will bring you fastest unllock time, each MK poison syringe/vial will increase how many portions you can take on mission, each new MK weapon will increase max ammo taken on mission. Each Explosion device will inrease amount of item taken on mission (from 1 to 2/3) etc. There is plenty of ideas which can be done low effort and budget.
They could also solve problem from UI side. For example - in equipement you should have only one position for " Sieger 300" Sniper. But from submenu you could choose a variation or a skin, so whole menu would not be filled with trash.
Oh boy I looking forward for this, because this is one of things which make level design and immersion so great. Generic US/UK/Hidi accents overall the place ruin that immersion.
It’s Dubai it should be any sort of Azdan not Catholic choir lol. Immersion instant killer.
Why they done that in last part of whole Trilogy? I don’t mind it if there would be a fresh new game.
- Remove or redesign all MKII items to have a different look or usage
- Redesign whole equipement menu with better item sorting. Combine all duplicates into one selection, so user will see one item, but different variations under dropdown/submenu, so whole equipement menu will be clear and easy to use.
- Redesign aim point for throwable items so aim have different look depends how item works (lethal, non-lethal, ligh items ect). Also redesign auto-aim for throwable items, because now you can accidentally throw something on NPC.
- Redesign outfit menu and add categories (Legacy suits, dedicated suits, coats, shirts, event suits etc)
- Give different suitcases for different purposes for example - for carring many tools (not only one), special for sniper rifles/rifles with different mechanic and give guards metal detectors, so some suitcase may carry less items but they would protect against detection with a metal detector.
- Maybe add new moves (I don’t expect Human Shield or Dual Wielding, but anything new and fresh). Give posibility to use garrote on NPC which are siting.
- Redesign contract mode, adding more options to create more variations, posibility to remove your own contract.
- Add Career mode in contract mode just like in Absolution where we can earn money, buy or unlock items. Any sort of progression.
- Instead of adding another unlocks which is just a reskined weapon, they could add unlocks which can modify weapons with scopes, silencers, better mag etc.
- Add new unlock which for real change strategies - like a gadget which can lock doors from inside, binoculars, armor vest, maybe somekind of belt which gives you posibility to take more amount of this same item.
IO poked fun at themselves by releasing this unlock
and then they show that they learned nothing from it. The problem is that it’s extremely lazy. I wouldn’t mind if the mk2 and mk3 items were reskins that actually looked unique. They don’t need to have unique functions. but as they are now it’s very half arsed
thank you for taking the time to write it all out. this is 1000 times more interesting and conducive to discussion than simply stating what you don’t like.
it looks like the majority of your suggestions - especially the most detailed ones - are actually directed at the ui and rewards systems as opposed to the gameplay systems.
i don’t really disagree with the principle of those ui/rewards suggestions.
the menus look slick but at the expense of usability. there’s multiple ways to get to a mission which can invoke a little analysis paralysis till you get used to it. they seem to me closer to a gaas game’s menus than anything else, which may be a hangover from h1’s origins as an episodic platform. there are a myriad of better ways to display that information though - on that we agree.
however, the driving force of those suggestions is that you said h3 looks like “a H2 map pack” and i’m not sure how you see shaking up the ui and rewards - by adding a new lick of paint or a modification system - will address that.
i was expecting more detailed suggestions regarding altering in-game systems to make the game seem like a ‘proper’ sequel, but they ended up being the most vague points in your list (“maybe add some new moves”, “add more variations to contracts.”).
your list seems to suggest that you’re generally happy with the moment-to-moment gameplay, barring a few tweaks. is that fair to say?
correct me if i’m wrong here, but are you saying that to make h3 feel less like a map pack and more like a sequel, the bulk of what io needs to do is revamp the menus and rewards, or is there something more substantial they’d need to do that you’re alluding to and i’m totally missing? if the former is the case, then i’m not sure that would have the effect you desire.
oh that’s pretty cool i didn’t realise, but are all items like that? the mk2 poisons in hitman 2 were a good example but everything else was lazy
I won’t be able to find a still of it but they also have a new series of vials for additives.
But that was said since the PSVR AMA on reddit last year.
What’s that sorry? That we aren’t getting dual wielding? I don’t care that much, I just didn’t know anything has been said about it
If we aren’t, what are these fan requested features the devs have been harking on about, minus rain.
that has to be the perfect sign-off in a thread about the unnecessary negativity aimed at hitman 3, right?
you know there are probably folk out there that would post something like that and mean it.
Christ, some people are just spoiled beyond belief.
“nah, just ignore him. he’s only kydding.”
Someone flagged this post ahaha. It was so blatantly a joke
I knew you would say this.
If you want to joke in textual form, put some effort into it. The sentence alone was posted often enough in the past while being meant seriously.
I’m damn glad this Game isnt blood money.
Well I’m damn glad this game isn’t Codename 47
i’m glad it isn’t mini ninjas
Just don’t.
this unnecessary slandering of mini-ninjas must end!
