Here for cruise ship or casino. Both have a lot of potential.
I have always liked the idea of doing a theme park, maybe with the Miami map sort of vibe to it, but how you’d implement a high security area im not sure.
There would be something very satisfying of completitng a challenge by garroting a target during the on ride photo segment of a log flume.
I don’t see them doing a theme park level unless they are doing a remake of their old games (specifically blood money in this case). It seems IO doesn’t like recycling level concepts that much and would rather do something entirely new over something familiar
I honestly wouldn’t mind a “Contracts” 2, could be set in a far future, 47 is maybe dead or disappeared and old Lady Burnwood is going through their old files or something like that, so the missions don’t need to be connected through the story.
Italian mansion: Anathema (SA), Sapienza (H1) Eastern market: Murder at the bazaar (SA), Marrakesh (H1) Hotel: Traditions of the Trade (C47/C), House of Cards (BM), Bangkok (H1) Hospital: Terminal Hospitality (SA), Hokkaido (H1) Drug mansion in jungle: Say Hello to My Little Friend (C47), Colombia (H2) Indian town: Temple City Ambush (SA), Mumbai (H2) Suburbs: A New Life (BM), Whittleton Creek (H2) Ancient Castle: Shogan Showdown (SA), Isle of Sgail (H2) Skyscraper: Jacuzzi Job (SA), Dubai (H3) English manor: Beldingford Manor (C), Dartmoor (H3) Nightclub: Meatkings Party (C), Dance with the Devil (BM), Berlin (H3) China streets: Leehong chapter (C47/C), Chongqing (H3) Winery: A Vintage Year (BM), Mendoza (H3) Last but not least: lineair crap - Absolution and Carpathian Mountains (H3)
This is not a bad thing. However a lot are not original. Most of these are probably here because nostalgic fans kept wishing for this stuff back in 2016 (when H1 was released).
Death on the Mississipi. It’s clearly my least favourite mission in BM, so a great boat mission would be a nice addition.
I wasn’t entirely convinced but a snowy location would be great indeed. Situs Inversus is a fine winterish setting but you don’t get to roam in the snow element that much even if i really feel icy cold when i get to the helicopter platform. Then Sniper: the Shadows was released and i wish for that very same Observatory location, there are tons of things imaginable with this type of environment.
I would like to see the next map not in a mansion in Paris, or a mansion in Italy, or a mansion in England, or a Japanese hospital, definitely not a tropical island…
No club nor strip joint, no biker bar, no club of any kind, no boat. Also no village, no church, no city, no coastal city, no restaurant, no american landmark, no mine, no orphanage, not in the White House and any other institutional or power places in extenso. No jungle, no cartels, no winery, no opera house, no slaughterhouse, no rocky mountains. No asylum, no retreat, no markets of any kind, no consulate. Finally no castle. No wedding, no protest, no celebrations, nohting in New Orleans, no casino, no hotel. Feel free to add anything else. That doesn’t leave much to the imagination. The only location i think is an airport.
I suppose you are right, however a lot of these I wouldn’t really consider being the same, the tones and executions make a lot of these feel completely different than one another.
That does sound like a good idea for a kind of “final chapter” of 47’s career, a kind of MGS4 equivalent where 47’s skills and capabilities are starting to wane from old age. Although I don’t think we would really ever get it considering 47 is IO’s golden franchise and effectively represents the entire studio. Having an “end” to the series just doesn’t seem like it’s something IO would do, especially right now with the reemergence / rise again of the series.
However I think if they were to execute this idea, I think they would have to do a whole series retrospective. Showing 47’s career and skills over his entire lifespan (dealing with more primitive technology in the late 80’s / early 90’s with codename 47 and Hitman 2: Silent Assasin while starting to develop social skills and become a social chameleon, then showing technology progressing over time with all of the later games and 47 slowly developing his skills, until his peak and slow decline of his abilities with age).
I mean that’s kind of representative of my entire pipe dream for the series, having all of the games under one entire framework with the remaking/reimagining of all the older games/levels with the capability of unlocking an incredibly large arsenal of equipment over all that time. Maybe even showing us chapters of 47’s story we never got to see/play (I wouldn’t mind seeing a game about Puissance Treize, it seems like you could have some fun levels from that story).
Definitely vote for some kind of an airport. So many elements you can take advantage of:
Cafes
Shops
Security
Contraband room
Passport control
Baggage handling
Outside/runway
Control Tower
Sniper nest outside Control Tower
VIP lounge
Smoking room
Private jet
Hangars
Military/private/criminal Hangar
Smuggled goods
Elements to take advantage of
Delayed flights
Control tower sabotage flights
Sabotage plane engine
Jet engine kill
Ejection seat kill
Disguises
Pilot
Baggage handler
Security
Tourist
VIP
Kruger on holiday
Flight attendant
Janitor
Engineer
Passport control
Control tower crew
Gang
Military
Has potential for some unique mechanics.
I want to see how they could make tight security fun e.g, Use a smuggle mechanic similar to the vents in the bank or tamper with someone’s luggage
Or ways to mess around with the flight times, finding ways to move the target to different parts of the airport etc
