The Nintendo Thread

Nintendo Switch 2 has launched.

Been reading up on the buzz, and it generally looks like an underwhelming revision of the previous system.

I’d say it’s more comparable in the jump in quality between Wii and Wii U. What does that mean for the Nintendo Switch 2?

Well for one it means Nintendo is one step closer to being up to par with the current consoles, but by extension the system is no more powerful than a PS4.

And for the entry price, personally speaking buy a Handheld PC at this point.

That being said Hardware is underwhelming, but what about being able to get a system yourself if you feel you want to hop on this wagon?

Well atleast for me here in the states I’ve been seeing various pictures online of Walmarts and other retailers having very healthy stocks of the system behind glass in their respected sections.

Now I’m not underestimating the lines of people camping out for their latest system. Because a lot of places had those release line experiences.

My point with this is when the people who wanted the system got it, they still had plenty to sell and i fully plan on keeping tabs on this to see if the Switch 2 sells after the initial release hype died down.

Personally and this is simply a recommendation wait for a revision or price cut. I have a feeling Nintendo shot too close to the sun again and one will eventually happen.

Well that’s pretty cool and interesting. I remember seeing a post randomly about the Switch 2, in my city, and how it was readily available in-store vs. a different store down the street still dealing with a pre-order lineup lol!

Oh yeah
Peak retailer BTW, just… daaaaamn…! >:)

Hope more publishers adopt the Key Card release format instead. I thought we were done with this “too big/expensive for proper physical” BS.

They’ve just casually announced a Splatoon spinoff named Splatoon Raiders on the Nintendo today app it’s exclusive to the switch 2

Also Splatoon 3 will be getting it’s v10.0.0 update soon including:

  • 30 new kits
  • Weapon freshness caps raised
  • New in-game badges

  • URCHIN UNDERPASS!!!

Ok they’ve now posted it to YouTube and twitter
