Been reading up on the buzz, and it generally looks like an underwhelming revision of the previous system.
I’d say it’s more comparable in the jump in quality between Wii and Wii U. What does that mean for the Nintendo Switch 2?
Well for one it means Nintendo is one step closer to being up to par with the current consoles, but by extension the system is no more powerful than a PS4.
And for the entry price, personally speaking buy a Handheld PC at this point.
That being said Hardware is underwhelming, but what about being able to get a system yourself if you feel you want to hop on this wagon?
Well atleast for me here in the states I’ve been seeing various pictures online of Walmarts and other retailers having very healthy stocks of the system behind glass in their respected sections.
Now I’m not underestimating the lines of people camping out for their latest system. Because a lot of places had those release line experiences.
My point with this is when the people who wanted the system got it, they still had plenty to sell and i fully plan on keeping tabs on this to see if the Switch 2 sells after the initial release hype died down.
Personally and this is simply a recommendation wait for a revision or price cut. I have a feeling Nintendo shot too close to the sun again and one will eventually happen.
Well that’s pretty cool and interesting. I remember seeing a post randomly about the Switch 2, in my city, and how it was readily available in-store vs. a different store down the street still dealing with a pre-order lineup lol!
Guess it’s going to be a while until the next actual Direct then? Bananza looks fun, but not the kindof game I’d buy a Switch 2 for. I really hope there’s not a huge wait for the next 3D Mario at least.
Still looking forward to Metroid Prime 4, which I’ll get for my OG Switch.
lol really nintendo? they’re making exclusive videos for their phone app I haven’t downloaded yet?
I saw people posting that one image of “A New Splatoon Spinoff Game: Raiders!” last week, but I thought that was all Nintendo announced. I didn’t know there was actual video of it teasing it, cool!
More story based Splatoon content yayyy
Also HUH that research report video feels suspiciously like Direct content, but without the Direct.
Why no Direct, Nintendo? Feels… odd.
The bananza event for run will probably be available again for mar10 day like the first three events were this year but the tour stuff will not be re released after the event
Hopefully Mercury Steam will come back to do another 2D Metroid. Seems like Nintendo is a lot more enthusiastic about Metroid nowadays. Apparently the rumour is that Retro Studios are already starting work on Metroid Prime 5 after doing Prime 4.
Hopefully we’ll start seeing Nintendo’s 2026 titles start to be revealed, I think they really need some more heavy hitters, especially to convince me to buy a Switch. It’s great that Bananza is meant to be wonderful but I need more than 1 great exclusive.
