No worries, you´re not I´m hoping for as little fixes as possible, unless it´s official patch integration. But yeah, installing on GOG and turning off auto-updates is exactly what I plan to do
STALKER 2 might be the best game to come out in a few years. I was always a massive advocate for the first game and its quasi-sequels (Call of Pripyat being an all time favourite for me) so I am glad that this lives up to the spirit of the original games and then some. You can’t really beat the atmosphere of these games.
I started playing Stalker 2 on gamepass. It’s very immersive, but the enemy AI is quite bad. I hope it will be fixed in the future.
Check it out @Rimland
Nice one! I was under the impression that he hasn´t done the original trilogy (which imo has a more interesting selection of guns) in any of the previous videos, but now I checked, and he actually has. Though it is sadly a shorter video, so it´d be nice if they revisited those games in the future.

Welp, my memory sucks… Also, wrong thread!
It was because of those pesky 3 consecutive posts limit

These are certainly nice, though I hope the next-gen updates for the OG trilogy will function as extra layers and won´t automatically increase their HW requirements like remasters
The next gen update is just the changes brought to the console versions of the trilogy such as the radial weapon menu, gamepad support and a few fixes though from my understanding most bugs are still there such as the classic campire deaths in SoC
Ah, ok. I would’ve assumed it would come with some graphical tweaking as well. But as long as it doesn’t break ZRP/SRP fixing it, them it’s ok (as much as the campfire barrel deaths amused me back in the day, it sucks when it prevents you from completing a quest).
