Surely it’s got to happen? Well, it certainly looked from the Freelancer launch trailer that the Christmas tree was in the game files, but I guess we’ll see
Maybe a large Christmas photo to hang on the walls with Santa in the wine cellar in Paris with his arms around Harry (crowbar in hand) and Marv (present in hand), all smiling at the camera, a nod to Holiday Hoarders.
Pretty sure Father Vittorio died at the end of H2:SA. The audio filenames for his final words suggest as much, plus 47 didn’t even bother to call an ambulance or anything, just left him there with 22 dead bodies, and left his parting gift on the premises. Vittorio dying basically motivates 47 to resume his life as Hitman.
There’s no in-story indication that Vittorio dies, and 47 resuming his work as a Hitman is him giving up the idea that he can be a normal man because anyone he forms any kind of bond with will be put in danger. The novel Enemy Within held canon status prior to the WoA trilogy and that showed Vittorio as being alive and still at times in contact with 47. While the novel can no longer be said to fit in canon, there is nothing preventing Vittorio still being alive in it as being true nonetheless, since there had been no word one way or another on him since then.
But Vittorio must be quite old now, right? I mean, he could be dead now, just of his age.
I never took that as him being dead. @Mini brings up a good point though. Even if he was only 58?? 62?? In H2SA… he could be dead by now, and I always thought he was older than 60 when the game came out.
It’s only been 20 years. Could be dead, but not unreasonable to think he’s alive and just really elderly.
What are the audio filenames?

, 2.wav
, …, 6.wav

Oh wow, thank you. Yeah that’s more than just a hint.
I guess it can remain up to interpretation as there are a bunch of file names that are a bit “???”, such as Charlie being named Charly (and his twin is also given that name in the files). Sergei only hits him in the head, but Vittorio is old and at least gameplay-wise Sergei is strong (and maybe him being a genetic uncle of 47 is no accident).
What seems most off about the idea of Vittorio not being in a state of ‘dying’ when we last see him (other than the fact 47 doesn’t aid him, leaves his parting gift on the premises, and doesn’t help him get rid of the mountain of bodies) is that during the final cutscene he doesn’t move from his position at all really. Given across the entire game they never seem to cheap out animation-wise, I doubt it’s just because they didn’t want to bother or budget to have him move, and realistically if he was okay he should at least stand up while talking to 47…
But yeah, maybe it’s supposed to be purposely ambiguous. To me his death would better contextualise 47’s closing speech and decision to say “fuck the peaceful life” and decide to resume being a ruthless, unfeeling killer. Adds another layer to what’s already the most satisfying story in the Hitman series to me.
It’s Sicily and Vittorio has already been kidnapped for ransom once by a local boss. Pretty sure the authorities are t going to be too curious when he calls them to come take care of the bodies.
We know where 47 is living, but what about Diana? She doesn’t have all her old ICA safehouses and I don’t think she’s living in and out of hotels or in the same safehouse as 47. Did she get herself a New York penthouse? Villa Caruso? Thornbridge Manor?
Since only ICA and the security service she hired (CICADA?) knew about it, and anybody related to ICA is having to keep low profile for a while, assuming any escaped incarceration or death, Diana could very well be back in her mansion in Chicago.
Like Heisenberg said, she could be back in Chicago. I like to believe she stops in every so often at the safehouse. In theory, it could explain some of the cosmetic options that don’t fit 47’s personality, such as: some of the paintings, the burning ash tray in the bar, or the messy bed and closet upstairs (47’s too much of a perfectionist to leave anything disheveled imo).
Oh, and speaking of 47’s bed…It’s pretty big for only one person…just sayin
Just realized something: how did 47 get all that stuff down into the underground bunker? There’s no obvious list for lowering large, bulky, heavy things like entire pallets of gold bars and millions of tightly stacked, plastic-wrapped money.
Vince Gilligan’s writing staff took care of it dude.
Oddly enough, I’ll accept that answer.
Winch down one of the outdoor ladders I suppose.
