I did a search and couldn’t find it, but I never play with the minimap turned on and the silent assassin tracker has always sat awkwardly to the right of the space where the minimap would have been. It seems since the latest update that it now aligns nicely on the left side of the screen.

Could have sworn that was something that Travis or Clemens mentioned in one of the more recent insiders, that they’d fixed that if the map was off.

I don’t recall that ever being mentioned as a potential change, though I do remember seeing some complaints about it having lots of empty space next to it.

I never thought IO would change it, but it’s cool to see they’re listening to those small things.

I’ve very limited familiarity with what the other Dianas sounded like, hearing only snippets. Did the other two also sound upper-middle class and English? There’s presumably got to be some consistency, even between games.

That reminded me: it’s a shame there wasn’t more footage of Jane Perry “controlling” 47 in the Real Life Hitman game:

Bateson provided the voice for 47 and was on-site, but the players/handlers were elsewhere and did not meet the cast in person, if I remember correctly.

Some may be familiar with US soldiers being sent into vast tunnel networks to clear out Viet Cong fighters hidden in there. I was on Wikipedia just now and it says that during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Mujahideen hid in similar tunnels and the Soviets used people to clear them out. Wiki also says “According to contemporary accounts, the U.S. Marine Corps and British Royal Marines were involved in similar work in the war in Afghanistan”.

The soldiers used in the tunnels in Vietnam and Afghanistan were informally called ‘tunnel rats’. And that’s when I realized that’s where the Hitman 2 Silent Assassin mission “Tunnel Rat” gets its name from, as it’s also in Afghanistan :slight_smile:

I played Apex Predator. KO’d 6 ICA agents and dragged them to one spot (outside on the opposite side of where the 2 guards are, and just aways from the crane. Dropped a CX Demo on them. Then killed 4 other agents. The guy on the metal railing that doesn’t move - I tossed down a battery (that was cool) but got a collateral kill from that (not cool). Then I went to Herschmuller’s office and called Montgomery.

So, he came in then sat down. I stood up, then detonated the CX Demo killing the remaining agents. Then (what’s her name) says for everyone to get out of there. I sat back down… Shortly after he stands up, moves to his left like he’s about to leave, then goes to sit back down again. I think he was caught in a loop of confronting 47 and leaving. :laughing:

Then I shot him in the face.

This isn’t so much about finding something as it is a bit of a bug. Still interesting, imo.

Not sure if this has any utility, but when using the camera gadget you can press the instinct button to outline an NPC in the center of the frame within range.

It would be neat if Contract Mode Target Information was shown here or something. Maybe even highlight intractable objects from a distance?

I just did that the other day, and it still went off after shooting it. For me it just disabled the laser, not the beeping.
