Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

I still count that as four, because it’s still the stalactite falling. The available options are:

  1. Overheat the vial
  2. Use the usb to make the container holding g the vial self-destruct
  3. Shoot the vial, either inside the lab or snipe from a distance
  4. Make the stalactite fall on the lab, either shooting it or blowing it up from the floor above.

It all adds up to the same thing, really: breaking the glass holding the virus and having the organics-destroying chemicals in the air dissolve it instantly, so no matter which method is used to destroy the vial, the virus is still destroyed the same way.

Did anyone know that you can make The Maelstrom come to you if you disguise yourself as a metalworker and relieve one of them for a long overdue break?

I think this only works with the explosive phone though. It´s definitely a cool method, took me god knows how many tries before I placed it in the right spot and I haven´t felt like doing it again. EVER, lol.

I love this method. Also, me whenever I see a ship model in any of the levels:

(they do tend to contain stuff btw)

Haha that is excellent memery.

For god sake. I was about to go to bed, but now I have to try this.

  1. There’s a remote explosive behind the virus lab (in the cave next to 2 guards). That (or any remote explosive - I doubt the breaching charge would suffice) can be stashed in the bin next to the virus, then detonated remotely. I say “put it in the bin” since the bio-suit dudes would report it to the guards. Or use the micro variety.

  2. The EMP device set off next to the same laptop you’d use the USB thingy on.

Now I’m thinking… What if I put a weapon inside the virus lab? A guard would need to come in to retrieve it, but it’s a volatile environment and shouldn’t be accessed without a suit. But they do have those gas masks…

Anyway, I’d wonder how many guards could be killed by entering the lab? Or would they equip their gas masks?

Edit: Well here ya go! They do switch off the volatile environment (or w/e).

Normally there’s a greenish tint.

So the next thing to do is man the switch outside inside the lab. :smiling_imp:

Edit 2: It works (obviously). Never did it this way before, but getting those guards to come in is a slower process than I thought it’d be.

:joy:

Just in case my op wasn’t clear/helpful enough: there’s two metalworks across from each other in the slums; the one who needs a break is by himself except for a guard. Don’t pacify or otherwise remove the guard (The Maelstrom talks to him before coming in) and there’s a free metalworker disguise on the upper floor of an apartment nearby (if you don’t start as one).

I’m not sure if it works if you don’t follow the “talk to” prompt after the overworked metalworker asks you who you are so unless you want to experiment and remove the guy another way… Also, it might take Maelstrom a minute or two to get there; he doesn’t drop everything and go straight there, he just checks in during the course of his route.

EDIT: The pertinent locations are in the minimap in my op

It’s probably the only way I’m going to eliminate him from now on. Good luck.

  1. (And only way) Throw a duck and run! :winking_face_with_tongue:

Both of those still involve blowing up the vial to release the virus into the chemical-filled air. I guess an actual explosive not from the container itself can be counted as it’s own method, but the EMP being used in the laptop is still using the laptop, so I wouldn’t really count that one as a separate method.

Well, one is more of a challenge to obtain… KO the lab worker that came from the confessional booth.
or
Bring or smuggle the EMP. So in that way they’re different enough to qualify as a different method (IMO).

Otherwise the laptop is essentially useless. I get what you’re saying about just having the laptop involved. But it’d be like using a plate. If you’re going to put food on it - where is that food going to come from? Do you make it at home from ingredients on-hand? Or do you order take-out?

It also works with the tripwire mine. I learned that on Reddit a month or so ago and it’s so much easier than with the phone (although I reached the point where I get the phone placement right through practise… I seem to live in Sapienza)

Funnily enough in the Alpha it was in a safe behind a painting, and that concept is now in Dartmoor
it’s nice to see they reused a ton of stuffs throughout the years

Yeah, tripwire placed on side of cardboard box so half is below the floor. Tripping/shooting then causes it to blow the stalactite underneath. I showed off this and some other wacky Sapienza shenanigans in this run:

Haha, you missed the stairs 58 seconds into your run. You suck.

Who the hell plays like this? Especially after blunts?

Heh well I’m greatly inspired by players like CJ, Urben, Kotti, etc. so I’m always looking for unique ways to do runs. Managing to pull off a bunch of crazy stuff do feel good, especially before, after and during blunts.

They got it straight from Whittleton, but in Berlin they forgot to add an exit camera track iirc, deleting it was easier than fixing it.

Nice detail in Mendoza: The clock in the attic will throw out gears if shot.

Zachary’s laptop shows bootsnstuff.io, which doesn’t exist, and seems to manufacture shoes that are too big.

Information

The latest instalment of our popular wellington boot is now even more water resistant and their unique insole design will make them fit your feet perfectly. Seriously, they fit like a glove.

When the Guerilla Wetsuit was revealed I questioned whether it could be used for the cave exit in Mendoza since it’s a reskin of the Tactical Wetsuit and they likely just copied and pasted its code for the Guerilla Wetsuit.

To my surprise, the Guerilla Wetsuit doesn’t work for the exit; you specifically need the Tactical Wetsuit

That’s honestly very strange given the Deluxe Ninja suit uses the same code as the Hokkaido ninja suit.

If they’re gonna do it for one, why not do it for the other?
