As a massive Craig Bond fan, the resemblance is no small part of the reason why the WOA has become my all-time favourite game. As much as I loved SA and Contracts (Absolution had potential but it skeeves me out too much), I don’t think I would have replayed the trilogy so much over the pandemic without such beautiful environments to luxuriate in.
The past Hitman games had some nods and similarities, but they always seemed to be their own thing, based on a rough outline of other spy/assassin movies. I’d equate some of them closer to Leon: The Professional than Bond. But WoA is almost entirely scrounged from the Craig era films. And I don’t say that as a bad thing. I just never realized how heavily it was before, because I’d only watched them in passing, just to have something on in the background, really. Now I’ve really watched them, and the moment I saw Bond shoulder nudge a woman he walked passed in Casino Royale and saw how identical it was to how 47 does in the trilogy, while wearing an outfit I already knew heavily inspired one of the suits in H1, it clicked. It all fell together. Providence was designed specifically on Quantum and SPECTRE, Silva was the basis for Grey, although they decided to turn him good for the games. Hell, Diana even dresses like Vesper for God’s sake. Craig’s Bond doesn’t even really function as a spy and saboteur as the other Bonds do; he’s explicitly an assassin for MI6 who just happens to collect info from his targets before killing them, and is sometimes asked to arrest them instead. He even says they want him to be half monk, half hitman. It was never so clear to me as it is now.
He likes expensive weapons too. That WA2000 was expensive when it first came out and today they are worth more than your automobile.
Here’s an article about one going for action 5 years. They started the bidding at 75k
I just found out ‘Leiter’ is the German word for ‘Ladder’. So when 47 used the cover name ‘Jacob Leiter’ in Till Death Do Us Part, he was referring to a Jacob’s Ladder I think?
P.S. Hi everyone!
The new exit in Mendoza made me want to finally wear a suit besides the Requiem Suit on the map, and I just discovered that the Black & White Tuxedo Set has been renamed to the Black & White Tuxedo Set with Gloves. It was weird that before it had the same name as the non-gloved version. I assume this was changed in the October patch and I just didn’t notice till now
I as a average user of the suit, almost instantly noticed the change and stupidly didn’t post about it because i thought it was a noticeable thing!
Someone once made a handy, dandy guide on how to do remote oil spills on vehicles! Finally, never will I guess where the weak point is!
Watching that, I’ve never noticed until now that the SA tracker changed slightly going from H2 to H3. In H2 the guns are filled in with red, but in H3 we just get the outline of them.
I think I remember reading it was changed to better differentiate the two for colour-blind people, where there are no colour-blind settings.
5+ years of playing WoA and I had no idea you could create oil spills from cars and vans, I always assumed the oil spills were created from the scooters and lawnmowers only, and that cars could only be exploded. Really useful info to know!
I recall a Sapienza contract (back when playing H2016)… One target was next to the green scooter by the limo being polished… There’s a gardener and guard. I turned that scooter into swiss cheese before I got it to leak!
That’s why I sincerely believe there is a doctor’s degree in Hitman physics and mechanics. People like Urben, mendietinha, Bernardo One, Frote7 (sorry if I forgot anyone) defo got diplomas to show for it.
Funny you should mention that. I’m actually hoping for IO to go the less expected route and set their 007 game in the Cold War era. It’s been sorely lacking.
I don’t necessarily need ‘a darker tone’ (well, depending on how it’s executed), but I am of the opinion that Hitman levels work best when they function/feel as independent missions and are not tied to a grander plot.
I’m hoping for this as well, espionage in the cold war era was at it’s height. I wouldn’t mind IO playing with a second cold war setting in future Hitman games either. Give me snow levels in Russia at night.
The real estate agent can go into the cassidy house
Today I just found out the hidden thing is interactive benchmark Dartmoor map
Usually we’re stuck inside the mansion right? I’ve found a way out. It’s through 2nd floor door.
Just shoot the door and go to right to bypass the invisible wall
Now 47 are free to explore the map. There is something that I noticed. There is weird sound like someone conversation or a radio somewhere when 47 open the main door.
I’ve noticed some rooms were removed. Walking into the room will make 47 fall underground
Exploring underground, I finally found the source of mysterious audio before. It turn out to be some audio device/radio. Lying next to half of the dead Zachary’s body. There is also a kitchen knife. Shooting and bombing doesn’t do anything.
From underground, 47 can see the exit but all the exit was removed if 47 tried to exit like normally he does.

The exit that require keys also can’t be used because there is no key. Interestingly, a car can be blown up like normal and radio distraction still exist (not removed).
Back to underground, finally there is a way to reach the unreachable and beyond but it’s tricky because 47 often get stuck between rocks. Now, 47 can see the windmill in a close range.
I noticed that quite early. Guess the militia had to recover from the Colorado hit by selling stuff on ebay.
Its her alter ego, Grenelope Paves
You make this post like 50% of the females in Marrakesh aren’t clones of Franny Da Sanny.
