… that in Freelancer, the safehouse stash that provides semi-random (items you do not have in one of the three cases) items for your Freealncer Tools may change selections if you open it, but do not take anything then, leave the game mode properly and exiting the game properly, open the stash later.
I had Proximity Explosive Duck (Explosive, Common), ICA Proximity Micro Taser (Tool, Rare), and Modern Sedative Syringe (Poison, Common) when I opened it after completing a mission.
Left the game mode, and exited the game.
1+ week later, I re-entered the game mode, opened the stash and the Proximity Explosive Duck (explosive, common) had changed to Remote Concussion Rubber Duck (concussive, epic). I confess I only noticed it because its grade color had changed from green to purple.
Funnily, I noticed subconsciously so I did not take it then had exited the game (after completing the new Elustive Target) before I realised that the item had changed. Starting the game again, visiting the stash showed the common grade duck again so I repeated the cycle and the epic duck appeared.

It’s probably just a bug. But yeah this will kinda shake up contracts, so now IOI will have to decide whether to fix it or expand it to other melee weapons :x

If it is a bug and they do fix it, I wonder if you have a location that you’ve last used the axe in the loadout, if it would just stay there forever until you changed it…

I love it as an idea. Either making the pistol slot a generic item slot and allowing everything one-handed there or expanding it so some melee weapons can be taken in the weapon slot is a good idea to me and a great QoL feature. I just wish the canes could be taken in Melee again like they could at the start of H3’s cycle

That will be incredibly useful for Freelancer when you get those No Firearms objectives. I hope that’s not a bug and it gets expanded to include more one handed melee weapons.

There are no loadout slots for Freelancer since everything just costs capacity, if you had one of those axes you could always take it with anything else you wanted as long as you didn’t exceed your capacity :x
(Those axes are more useful for the axe kill objective since any generic melee item like the free scalpel would work for no firearms)

Honestly i think it would break like maybe 3 contracts so I’m all for it actually! Having the dynamic of a pistol or an axe sounds like it could create more interesting contracts over what it would break.

Yeah having more options for contracts would open some interesting choices. Although being limited to these 2 axes feels kinda weird and I’d like to see that expanded to other small melee weapons.

Did a bit of testing on Illusions of Grandeur and it seems that a few disguises are not allowed in Chawls.
These include:
- Laundry Foreman
- Laundry Worker
- Metal Worker
- Lead Actor
- Painter
- Kashmirian
- Holy Man
- Tailor
If you infiltrate Chawls in any other disguise or in your suit, you won’t be trespassing. Imo it’s a very arbitrary selection of trespassing outfits, you would think Vanya’s Servant, Street Vendor, Barber, Dancer, non-Bollywood guards are just as out of place as the ones above. It’s still a fun gimmick.
I haven’t checked what would happen if you approach Basil in these disguises as a volunteer, probably it won’t be trespassing area anymore?
Also I can’t seem to find Bollywood Crew disguise on this level. Seems to be the only one missing from the main mission.
