Contracts and Blood Money are both getting vinyls
Ordered mine already! Thanks for the heads-up!
Never realised until now that in the final mission of the campaign, in the brief moment that you are surrounded by all the targets in the campaign - there is a duplicate of each target on the opposite side of the circle.
This picture still thrills me at how they included Noel Crest and Akka in that moment after the release of the Ambrose Island mission. Wish all the targets in WoA could appear, but it makes sense in context why only the main campaign targets are there.
Might be an inconsistency/oversight. It’s been like that since release. Only shows illegal when on the ground, but there’s no problem carrying it (which I assume is the correct status).
Some items are legal to carry but illegal to pick up. Golf club is another notable example IIRC.
Ah, the same like some keys.
legit one of the best use of updates to retcon an aspect of a game, in a positive way. now all we need is Ambrose in the H2 campaign tab (keep it after carpathian, i dont mind that. heck i didnt mind having the sniper maps in the destinations tab back in H2)
Hitman 3’s elusive target briefings, except the Disruptor, all begin with a shot of a symbol:
Kody Haynes: A painting of a group of figures seated around a table, covered by a white cloth
Joanne Bayswater: Dual pistols
Terrence Chesterfield: A falling hardhat
Philo Newcombe: A wedding cake, complete with bride and groom figurines
Jack Roe and Robert Burk: A steel food cloche, opened to reveal a goblet of something green and sinister looking meat
Allison Moretta: A silhouetted statue with changing neon blue facial expressions
Sully Bowden: A boxing glove with “CRUSHER” labelled on it with blood droplets in the air
EDIT: Hitman 2 has these too except for the Undying, albeit monochrome:
Vicente Murillo: A skull facing right with two white neon lightning bolts
Miranda Jamison: a falling paint palette with paintbrushes
Barbara Keating: a skull closing on another skull
Censor: A dartboard with A+ scribbled on it in chalk
Jimmy Chen: pills falling out of a bottle
Noticed this in Freelancer Variations but then also checked in ET Arcade:
When Philo is emetic-poisoned near the dance floor, Michelle and Phoebe respectfully wait outside the toilets. In other locations however, they stick rather close to him.
A similar situation happens with Jorge Franco and his bodyguards. If he becomes ill in the south half of his place (after walking out the flower sample room to entering the pilot’s room) he goes to a toilet where the guards wait respectfully, otherwise they gather round the toilet near the mansion side gate thing.
The nitro in Miami applies too, illegal to pick up, legal to carry, just be careful picking it up near NPCs… will cause you to restart
I believe this is the first time this has happened in all the time I’ve played this game…
A body that is spotted by a camera will not make you lose SA. But a nearby guard will come to check on it. So hide it quickly before they get there.
At least, that’s what I think. Because it did happen and I still had the green guns when the guard arrived…
I’m not sure if I lost it when he drew his gun out… I might have to double check.
I was having a lot of issues with my internet connection.
Thanks to server delays the guns may stay green for quite a long time even if you already lost SA
Hitman Absolution Fight Night: The match between Sanchez and The Patriot will continue if the guards are in hunting mode or even if a body is dumped into the arena itself - they just keep fighting as though nothing happened. Only open hostility can cause them to take off running.
The civilians fight back in hand-to-hand combat in expert mode on Hitman Absolution! I discovered this the hard way when I decided to smack the woman cussing into her cellphone in the first segment of the Terminus mission and ended up being beaten to a pulp instead before the guards could even react.
Not exactly, that happens on all difficulty levels. That lady is one of the few if not the only civilian NPC who can fight back in close combat. All non-armed targets would do the same (even the scientists, including the amputee), but fighting those would result in a unique animation with 47 killing them instead of knocking them out.
This is not some groundbreaking knowledge, but I found this rather curious.
So here are two custodians who talk about ierarchy of the Ark Society. “The Architects. Ark-itects, get it? Bet they stayed up all night for that one.”
When they finish their conversation, you get the following part of intel. I find two odd things about it - firstly, the text refers to the custodians as “members of the Ark Society”, but can they be called that if they are just technical staff at the Society’s disposal? Secondly, the picture portrays an Ark Member and an Architect instead of those custodians, which along with the text implies that these two should have been the ones having that conversation.
And at the VIP Lounge, we can find these two characters from the picture. They don’t have any conversations, however. I suspect at some point the conversation about Ark Society structure should have taken place between these two characters which would also give a purpose for this lone Architect in the middle of crowd made up of Ark Members.
Or I might be completely wrong and the picture is just meant to symbolically showcase the three levels of the Ark Society - Architect and Member overlooking Patrons
PS: The robes on the picture seem to be slightly different from the ones that we see in actual gameplay, so this might be another indicator of changed content.
It is most certainly the case, the picture has the two elite most strata of the Society above its entry level members. It is a visual metaphor for the Society as a whole.
I would say so, the Arkitects are also just technicians, explicitly referred to as being nothing more than an R&D department. The Custodians are just the Records Department if the metaphor can be extended. Between their more ceremonial name, their more intimate knowledge of the Society and the fact that they have clothing with the Arkian logo on them (something the staff, chefs, entertainers and raiders don’t have) they seem to be close to the Society.
If they aren’t actual recognised members then they are so complicit in how a large part of the Society functions that the officality of their membership is a moot point, they basically are just Arkians of a different stripe
Plus it makes no sense to treat the Custodians like they do the staff since you need to retain their knowledge for the cultural cache project
Speaking of the Custodians what one of them says about Iron Maidens is true, Iron Maidens are a more contemporary invention used in cabinets of curiosity and in circus/freak shows to draw crowds and engage in shock horror.
EDIT: Oh yeah and a general disclaimer that all of this is speculative and based what I remember about the level. Each level has so much dialogue and Sgail is my least played level so all of this information is based on what I remember.
Except for the fact about Iron Maidens, that is actually true.
