Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

I wonder if the death counts against SA if you were to KO him with an explosive accident and he flew into that area

I havent read this long thread in full so sorry if this has been mentioned.

Anyway: spoiler alert: the guy all in black that has a problem when you get too close to his conversation in the top floor’s kitchen from The Source is not an NPC but Jordan Cross’ bodyguard and was the last disguise I couldn’t find for the life of me in order to complete The Chameleon challenge.

TIL: You can choose a lethal melee item in place of a firearm for the ‘concealed weapon’. :hushed:

Yeah they added this relatively recently I think (just before the Disruptor came out?) I wish there were a few more options in it though.

If Diana doesn’t have Tamara to chat with apparently she talks to others at the party. Like this gal…

Makes me wonder what other people have a backstory. :hushed:

Found out that in Hitman 2016, the Makeover mission story in Hokkaido worked with a doctor, and not a surgeon as it currently is.

It’s a major location social design change. Can’t think of any other immediately.

But I do wonder: back in Hitman 2016, was the Surgeon disguise that hard to obtain?

As far as I can tell, the only way to gain it is mastery undercover starting location, or going in the surgery suite. By which point the chief surgeon disguise is easier to gain, of not necessary just to go in.

I think they’ve been changing this guy to surgeon and back (?) to doctor a couple of times during H16 and/or H2. Maybe people who were active back then could clear this up.

Some of these are not outright social, but H2 changed H2016 maps in pretty significant ways, here are some that I can remember:

  1. Added crowd mechanic (Freeform Training, Paris and Marrakech, The Landslide) and bushes (The Final Test, World of Tomorrow, Freedom Fighters).

  2. Added some EMP interactions (most notably, to laptop in Sapienza that destroys the virus) and puddle interactions (?? they all might have already worked, it’s just the only “taser” in H2016 was The Big One).

  3. Added guards to some of the camera boxes – most notably, at security rooms in bell tower in Sapienza and in morgue in Hokkaido. I’m saying this because these two are extremely easy to grab compared to all other bodyguards on the map. Edit: and, of course, the notorious enforcer in the bar in Paris! Absent on Casual mode though.

It was originally a surgeon, then one of the last few H1 patches changed it to a doctor. Then an H2 patch changed it back due to complaints.

Yeah, getting Chef Surgeon was quite easy, but if you wanted to do challenge where your get him to kill Erich Soders, you need normal surgeon disguise. I’ve always preferred this disguise, because normal surgeons have less enforcers.

Just noticed on PS4/PS5, the tile image for the Chongqing “DLC” has a typo in it. Heh.

I don’t think they did it before, but when you throw a wet floor sign at an NPC it has this weird wobble while it flies. It reminds me of the MkII Briefcase, without the tracking. It goes faster and straighter just tossing it as a distraction.

Edit: Well, if it was locked on then it too should track.

Messing around in The Bank. A bit with the wet floor sign… nothing conclusive yet.

I did however come up behind this guy just before he was going to “do a line”. He was standing in front of it, looked left and right, then the yellow meter filled up, he turned around and confronted me. Then he just died. He never went into an animation of snorting the coke.

Yes. I poisoned it earlier when I became compromised by this guy with the Janitor disguise.

Thanks to (Kevin Rudd’s?) a user’s PC bug exploit and a contract curator’s picks, this one Starter Pack player is able to play on an ET version of Sapienza, because the game still classifies this mission as part of ICA Facility.
Uhh, yay?..

This FC continues to cause chaos, oh my.

Might end up being the second FC to get pulled this year if its giving free access to something it shouldn’t.

The “Potassium Overload” FC from March got pulled presumably because of the tile image after they had some comments/complaints. I assume its the implication of shooting a defenseless person of colour in back.

Can still play it via the History tab if you played it before it was pulled. But they’ve deleted the tile image from the server.

Honestly that seems like total overkill when they could have just replaced the picture for that contract with the same as Acrophobia’s (which is basically the same picture with a blue background and without the guard) :x

Also could’ve just edited out the banana as well so instead of pointing a banana, its just pointing.

:joy:

Reminds me of the 4Kids anime dubs of the early 2000’s this image.
