Do you mean the (voice) tag?
I think that’s just the suffix, to denominate all the roles in the list as voice work. It’s not just for the one role

Yeah, it’s nice to see people who voice random NPC’s or targets get a bigger role. Derek Hagen, who voiced another third of population in WoA, voiced protagonist of Evil West.
On Hokkaido, Smith does not spawn in the morgue bed. He spawns stood up, lays down in mid-air and then phases into it.
I wonder what do you see if he’s marked on instinct.
Devs probably put the closet for testing or something, even thought they’ve been used since 2016.
This is some fuckin’ horror movie shit…
In a morgue too, no doubt
If I had to guess, it was probably originally placed inside the vault to give players a place to hide if the alarm was tripped or as another place to store bodies when people are distracted into the vault - then they thought against it and instead of removing it took the easy route and moved it into a spot it wouldn’t normally be seen.
Or maybe the vault was bigger than it is now at some point and then they just closed off the wall and left everything that was already there.
This might be obvious to others - especially any French speakers - but I’ve just discovered that there’s a series of French military rifles from the late-19th and early-20th centuries which follow the naming convention “Fusil Modèle…”, such as the Fusil Modèle 1874 and the Fusil Modèle 1886.
Indeed, the French word for rifle is ‘fusil’. So, it doesn’t take much of a leap to see how the Hitman devs decided on a name for the fictional rifle used by many of the guards in Paris.
What I find interesting is that this is another example of Paris’ enduring legacy across the rest of the series. Just as there’s props adorned with signs of Paris throughout many other locations in the game, so too the Fusil rifles.
These are - we can assume - supposed to be French rifles in origin. Yet, we see them all over the World of Assassination. It’s clearly a successful gun brand!
You can’t dump a body down a manhole AKA BODY DUMP
35mn in alerted territory with all other 3 targets not being found just to discover this…
The fusil in hitman is mostly an AR-15 clone but it has a full size hand guard instead of a trigger guard that looks much like the one on the FAMAS-G2. The FAMAS is made in France and was the French military standard issue battle rifle from like 1980 to 2020. They are still some soldiers and Legionnaires who have them with the complete phase out not scheduled for a couple more years.
You usually can Is this just a thing on freelancer? Can’t say I’ve ever tried it on that.
I never could, Freelancer or Normal. I have a feeling that in H2 we could do that…
There’s a second hidden pistol in Paris. On the opposite side of the building from where the empty briefcase and spare coins are, in the bedroom where the Shiek is staying, there’s a pistol tucked under the pillow on the bed. This is the second hidden pistol that’s just lying around, with the first being under the sofa near the stairs where you get frisked to go up to the auction. I never found it before, because I don’t think I ever even went into that bedroom before Freelancer; my very first mission ever in Freelancer had the target and a courier in that room and that’s when I realized that room was even there. Even then, I only went in to deal with them, I didn’t really take the time to look around.
The other day, by chance, I walked close to the right side of the bed in that last room and found the prompt to pick up the pistol. This was in Freelancer, where most of the weapons lying around are not present, including the one under the couch. So this means that there is a weapon that you can pick up and can be used to distract a guard if you’re trying to avoid KOs. And it’s near the same place where you can get extra coins and a briefcase, so this part of the building is where you want to go for distractions.
It’s also worth noting that FAMAS is an acronym for “Fusil d’Assault / Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Etienne”, so it even has “Fusil” in its name.
I’m posting this here since I felt the place I was going to originally would’ve been off topic.
Regarding the roof by the water tower in Colorado.
The 2 guards on the roof have a routine (probably some of it triggered by player proximity, like the guy spotting the creature in his binoculars) that can help the player navigate to and access the ladder. There’s also another guard (from the coms area) on the ground that looks upward toward the tower. Once you’ve gone up and down the ladder in a hostile disguise multiple times (such as when you’re working on a contract) you can kinda get a good idea of their pattern or what they’ll do next depending on where they are.
When going up and the 2 guards are still up there - don’t use the stairs. Well, you probably could, but it’s better to climb the shorter part of the building near the SUV, and then climb again to the top part… That is if the coast is clear.
I didn’t even know it existed until, like, a week ago. There really hasn’t been much reason to go into that room until Freelancer. Like I said, I didn’t even really remember there was a room there until Freelancer, almost 7 years later.

This man is a pit of obscure wisdom
Everyone knows that one. They show it right there in the opening video.
That’s not true, I bring it back up again whenever necessary to correct incorrect statements.
