I just found out that the glass poison vials don’t shatter when you drop them anymore.
I remember they used to shatter because I picked up a lethal poison frog once (appears as a vial in your hands) and dropped it. Red liquid was on the ground and I thought it was blood at first, that sticks with you… Tested it with a regular vial and it shattered which meant the H2 plastic vials were technically very slightly different. Now they’re not.
I would have loved that MK2 poisons have the sole advantage to not break on drop. Imagine being able to point that out every time someone says they are useless.
Few examples for starters;
In Sniper Challenge (which is effectively a prequel to Absolution) you can find Mr X from H2:SA.
Some U’wa tribe poison can be found in Lennys room in Blackwater Park.
When 47 goes to see Tommy the tailor, there is a bird costume from Murder of Crows.
Eve the assassin from Dance with the Devil also appears on the calendar in the basement. Also iirc Anthony Martinez mask is there too.
Not technically events, but definite references to the first 4 games.
Also: Travis is the part of International Contract Agency, an organisation from the previous games. Diana is a character that first appeared in C47 I think, so she’s a reference too? And that 47 dude kinda looks like the protagonist from the previous games so
The Sieker (and I assume the Kalmer too) shoots a huge freaking dart that sticks to wherever an NPC is struck. I don’t remember this detail being in Hitman 2.
The size may have changed but the dart was there. I remember being upset you could shoot a wine glass and not only would it not break, but the wine wouldn’t become poisoned. It was funny to watch people drink from the glass though once the dart was stuck to it.
Ah well, now I can indulge in the hilarity of someone walking through a public area with a very visible dart sticking out of them, and no one ends up alarmed!
