Unpopular opinions about Hitman

I am more than happy to agree with you on the Lee Hong´s Sword part, but honestly, the two other Deluxe weapon unlocks aren´t doing a better job at celebrating the 20 years either. They´re even worse actually (and arguably less useful too).

It is important to come out on this  Marrakesh is woefully underrated and doesn´t get the love it deserves.

I’m a big fan of the embassy, but the rest of the map just weighs Marrakesh down for me I think

It is the map I don’t like very much but I have to admit I happened to make the most good contracts at in H2016.

I also never understood why soo many people disliked it. It was never my favourite but it was far from bad.

marrakesh was great, i liked both fortresses, i just wish the middle had a bit more to do in it. Luckily ahbos fixed that.

Marrakesh’s main mission was my favourite mission in the series until H2 came out (then it was Miami’s and now Berlin’s). But it’s still the bronze medal for me.

I love the fortresses, the fact that you can lure both targets away (or just either one), the scripted kills are some of the most fun and have less tedious stuff involved, I love how it gives us starting locations just outside the fortresses in trespassing areas that are still suits, there is no super overpowered suit since the embassy and consulate are very different, I love everything.

It has always been to me what Sapienza was to others. Seeing it get dismissed so hard broke me, especially back when it was 1/6 of the locations and it meant more.

Yeah, I bought S1 after the release of Marrakesh, and loooooved Marrakesh more than Sapienza on my first playthrough.

It was on replays that I started liking Sapienza over it, but I always really liked Marrakesh.

I love Marrakesh. I didn’t really care so much for the school part but the bazaar and consulate were amazing

This track from C47 is damn good

Not an unpopular per definition, but rather an unknown opinion. Its a pity so many people don’t know about C47 cause it has some good tracks.

The C47 main menu theme is by far my favourite in the series.

C47 has not a single bad track, but the Main Menu Theme is one of the weaker Tracks. Jungle Exploration and Harbour Theme are top notch imo, the last one especially once you entered the ship.

Agreed. Our sworn enemies - C47 underappreciators - surely cannot deny this. :joy: :joy: :joy:

I wouldn’t go that far. The biggest problem is its repetitiveness, the same little bit is playing forever! But other than that I feel it’s perfect, especially for a Main Menu Theme.

:joy: I remember just a few years ago you didn’t like the Harbour Theme? Hehe

A few years ago i also didn’t like the Rotterdam Missions at all but they have grown on me over the last few years and so did their music.

I’m not afraid to change my opinions, in fact i hated the new Insignia Design when it was first shown, but it turns out that this Briefcase is one of the best looking in Hitman 3. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I don’t like the way 47 pronounces names and words ending with an “a”. Data sounds like dater (“Nightcall”), Faba sounds like Faber (“The Undying”) and Emma sounds like Emmer (“Death in the Family”).

Thought it was charming at first but now it feels too deliberate. Don’t know what kind of accent that’s supposed to be but it seems incongruous with the rest of his speech patterns.

And yet he really doesn’t say “Dianer” hmm

Well, in British (Aussie/Kiwi/Saffa as well?) English it´s quite normal to throw in that “r” to a word ending with an “a” if it´s followed up by a wovel. Bateson probably has it from his regular Saffa accent? Though I´m not sure if it´s deliberate or not on his part… Pretty sure you can hear Jane Perry do it as well as Diana, as well as many if not all of the British VAs in the game(s).

So you have stuff like “Emma doesn´t” vs “Emmarisn´t”. Probably it´s something related to making the transition between the words more fluid? (notice how you feel a certain block/pause/stop when saying “Emma isn´t”, whereas the extra “r” allows for a very much seemless transition, as if it´s one word) You have phenomena like that in multiple languages I think.

I´ll leave it up to the native speakers here to confirm/clarify how widespread it is though.

My English is on the British side, so I´ve picked this up as well

it’s Bateson’s South African accent slipping in

you can see it in the opening cutscene of H3 when he says “You never do”. he pronounces -er sounds more like -a. so it sounds more like “You neva do.”

and it’s vice versa for the -a sound.

I’m replaying H2SA and whenever Diana is speaking, she’s always saying “Dianer is here” :joy:
