Unpopular opinions about Hitman

Holy shit I am going to use that one.

Oh you bet!

Colorado had the best multi target design in WoA.

The targets all frequent different parts of the level and intersect with each other. There are multiple double kill opportunities, even triple kills.

Hitman 2018s maps lacked this, separating all the targets FAR too much.

Kinda ironic…

“What ain’t no place I ever heard of. Do they speak English in What?”

no. miami and mumbai had it

Neither of those maps have targets that meet of their own accord. They all require triggers. Miami is one of my top H2 maps, but its 2 target so not really relevant tbh.

Im talking SF, Mumbai, Haven … you have to put in work to make targets meet, and in some cases (Tyson, Jorge) they just don’t meet at all

With Colorado, Sean will just go see Maya, you don’t need to make that happen, only react to it.

Would be nice if Rico checked in on Jorge or smth

ah, I see. agreed then. in general, opportunities on like half the maps lack possibilities to be completed suit only or just in multiple ways

I just feel like the hate Colorado got is a bog part of the reason we have these vast, segregated maps in h3. They fixed the wrong bit lol

PS Colo isn’t hard, once you get some experience behind you. Every game should have one level that test’s your ability, and the penultimate level is ideal imo

In contract H2s penultimate map is WC/Bank depending if you include dlc…

47 and the Hitman franchise CAN live on if/when David Bateson passes.

Tyson meets the other two if you sabotage the servers.

As for Colorado, it still doesn’t offer enough kill opportunities. The only efficient double kill is assassinating both Rose and Parvati with the ram or the watch bomb. The watch bomb works for Rose and Graves too but I’m pretty sure it kills at least one guard. The lawnmower could have been used to blow up both Graves and Berg but sadly it doesn’t work. Triple kills, I’ve never seen anyone pull off one. Might require too much work.

Thats my point. If you do something, they meet. If you don’t trigger it though, all 3 are separate kills. I prefer Colorado’s more organic approach.

If were including KO’s, Frote did falling objects only, using the hay bale for Maya, and the house chandelier for the other 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQqaLzJWkog&ab_channel=FortheSeven
If NO KO, I could probably whip up a strat that blows up the house 3 with lawnmower and propane.

You are required to put in some work, you know. Removing one guard is part of the job.

This can be done, but its not as natural as it should be,
I agree.

I thought you were saying they don’t meet in any situation since you were specifically pointing out the two (and Jorge indeed doesn’t meet Rico or Andrea whatever you do).

Yeah I guess everything can be done if you go so far that you KO your targets and drag them to a specific location. But if it’s not for a personal challenge like that, it’s useless to do that when you could just kill them at the point where you get alone time with them.

My point is for those of us that like to undertake these personal challenges, we can. In fact, my original point was that just walking around observing the level for the first time, you will see targets in multiple areas, meeting each other. I wanted to see this happen more in H2.

EDIT All 3 targets are super close to the area, this is hardly ‘Three Course Meal’ material…

Ok, then I get the point and I agree it should’ve been a thing in at least one mission in H2. But the mission still does bad job in providing double kill oppprtunities. You shouldn’t be required to put extra work into that (like removing bodyguards) when the mission already has that much you have to do (read: 4 targets to eliminate). Pulling off double kills like that should be much easier than in missions where we have just two targets. Now it’s kinda pointless to have Rose and Graves meet, for example.

Gameplay-wise, H2SA indeed does not offer a very comfortable experience. So I see the idea.

Yep, Contracts plays how SA should have played.

I admit H2:SA is not one of my favourites, but calling it worse than Absolution?!That’s a crime!Well, after hearing from someone else that Contracts is worse than Absolution,I guess I can expect anything…
The AI is indeed paranoid and annoying, but Absolution isn’t any better. The instict is very frustrating for me too, especially on higher difficulties because it goes fast.
But except the paranoid AI,we shouldn’t forget about the epic story and soundtrack in H2:SA or about the iconic missions like Anathema and Invitation to a party. It also still had a decent amount of replayability.Absolution on the other hand…only has improved controls and nothing more.It had a few good missions too like King of Chinatown or Hunter and Hunted, but the 2 games still aren’t comparable.
