absolution has all the same problems as sa but the base mechanics of movement and shooting are at least enjoyable. also, anathema is not good because of the ai but invitation to a party is probably the only great mission in the game
i sometimes wonder if it would be somehow possible to just put Contracts’ AI into SA…
Unfortunately I’m a total Technical & Programming Retard.
There are a postman disguise and a delivery boy disguise(not just the bodyguard one). The AI is not paranoid while wearing these disguises, you just don’t have a lot of access on the mansion grounds(while the bodyguard is allowed everywhere),but sneaking around is actually very fun(so if you think the AI acts weird in these disguises then it is most likely because you are tresspassing).
Ok…There are many others too,but I don’t feel like I should bother to list them for you…
A H2:SA remaster with Contracts’ AI would be great! ![]()
i’d be interested to discuss this
not in this game, imo. everything is too slow and unreliable
Hitman Absolution ‘King of Chinatown’ is a better level then The Showstopper and same goes for Absolution’s ‘Hunter and Hunted’.
I wasn’t talking about the game as a whole in that reply,I was specifically talking about Anathema.
anathema is a part of the whole game. therefore its fundamental problems are also on this level
@Frote7 needs to know this, also head turning was a great feature that needs to return.
why do people like king of chinatown anyway? i always found it quite one dimensional
Compared to many of the missions in Absolution, KOC is a more traditional Hitman level, same with Shaving Lenny.
that doesn’t really answer my question. is it just a contrast thing?
for me its mostly because of the atmosphereb you walk slowly trough this dirty alley, while birdie briefs you while you approach this Chinese Style Gate and you hear muffled voices and sounds, you open it and the noise from the busy market, the people shopping and the Vendors yelling, you see bursts of flames shooting out from under the Chefs Wok and, and, and…you can almost smell the food they are cookin.
Its a simple setting: Street Market in China Town, but its so well executed that it left a big impression on me, even years later I like coming back to it.
personally I’d say Showstopper is the better Mission and i don’t want to belittle the effort of the devs making it… but the atmosphere from King of Chinatown is so much more captivating, at least for me.
The Showstopper is the most overrated Hitman level from the newest trilogy.
do you dislike something about or do you just find something else better?
Its HITMANs Curtains down
Or Meat King’s Party.
Shut the fuck up, no one asked for your opinion! you know i still love you
There is nothing that really springs to mind, the word that I would use to describe the level with is simply “dull”. It’s just another big box dressed in high glamour set pieces.
Then again most of my favourite levels in Hitman takes place in cities and I always found closed off events to be dull.
This deserves a flag but that’s not my style.
An unpopular opinion: every game and level of the Hitman franchise are all fine.
