That’s exactly what they did in the sequel, with Clayface.
I know, they should have done something like that with Asylum as well. A Serious House didn’t end with The Joker hulking out and Batman blowing his face off with an explosive punch.
Yeah because Comics suuuuuuuck
Yeah what does this squint Grant Morrison person know about Batman? The best Batman comics are the Chip Zdarsky ones where Batman does stuff like fall from outer space in just his Batsuit and survive.
Arkham Asylum should have ended with a surfing competition minigame between Joker and Batman.
Yes
“You might have beaten me at the Asylum, Batman. But, can you catch me when I surf on this radical wave?? AHAHAHAHA…”
I have been playing Mario RPG haven’t gotten very far because I’m currently just watching this goomba spin
I just started playing The Outer Worlds: Spacers Choice Edition, since it was free on Epic yesterday, and I’m getting a bit tired of Destiny 2. It’s not bad thus far. I’ve never played any of the Fallout games, and I kind of have a hard time getting into these RPG type of games, but I’m enjoying it so far.
Mostly because the night sky is just so dammed pretty. I really love outer space.
Good day! May I interest you in trying out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?
Outer Worlds is a flawed but enjoyable game, especially if you appreciate the writing and the satire of it all.
In a post-Starfield world, it also comes across as an even better game. Starfield wishes it had the charm and structure that the Outer Worlds does.
Silvereyes and I started playing the original Dying Light in co-op
Ah man, the “burgeoning apocalypse” feeling, the zombie ragdolls, the music, the sense of a once lived-in world not far from our own… it’s so good to be back.
The sequel, for all its successes and faults, just doesn’t quite capture the same feelings, and I’m sure the whole “20 years after the global zombie plague” timeframe doesn’t really help much either.
People’s way of life is too calm, too different to ours right now, as someone not used to living with/experiencing a world populated by humanoid, flesh-eating monsters in the streets.
Sorry for constantly comparing the original to the sequel during our first play session, Silver. But it’s just hard not to immediately see the difference in scope, mechanics, and aesthetic right off the bat.
the music and sound design in the original dying light is incredible. i’m only now, while playing the sequel, realising how impactful the game was on me (no idea why)
So I have gotten to world 4 of Mario wonder and have now been introduced to my new favourite enemy just look at him he has no thoughts his little brain
I hope if / whenever they make a Mario maker 3 they have a wonder theme and this guy is in it
Alan Wake II
I fell in love with the original game back on Xbox 360. Enough for me to encouragingly lending my console and game out to friends who didn’t own a Xbox 360. There was no question weather or not I would play the sequel.
This is easily one of my all time favourite games, it’s a mad and mind bending experience from start to finish. The absurd world this game takes place in is unsettling and disturbing, mixed with absurd humour. Twin Peeks meets Steven King in a spiral of strange madness.
I love that it takes place in the same universe as Control, another absurd gem from Remedy.
Now I’m split between replay Control of the final draft of Alan Wake II.
10/10 game
Great to hear as I just bought this on Xbox store it’s on sale. Haven’t played yet. Control was awesome!
Good another person is indoctrinated.
Went back to Starfield for the Holidays. I still appreciate the no-alien-human-only-we-pretend-it’s-hard-science-fiction vibe of it.
In September I only quickly played the main quest, and just mindlessly vibed on planets while listening to audiobooks. I purposely ignored everything else. I did not even went into the procedural placed dungeons then. Just the open space. It was pleasantly calm.
This week I went toward the narratives, the quests, I actually talked to the NPCs, tried some dungeons.
Also tried to find more exotic planets. Since I saw a loading screen talking of tidally-locked planet (it’s a lie there are none).
In other words, I tried to play it more seriously.
Anyway, as a consequence I can say : M-96 Mattock my Beloved. Good to see it again after almost a decade.
(seriously though : I don’t regret the time I took to fully survey the Solar System it was fun for my grew-up-reading-about-the-space-race self. But I should not have tried to look deeper into the game. Good value for game pass)
