Yep, runs and looks great, as best as it can anyway. Made a rule that all games that use up to DirectX 8.1 will end up on my Win98 PC and DX9 games end up on my beefy XP machine. It can easily run DX10 games also but I like to keep things more retro, so no Vista / Win7 for me ![]()
I began playing Death Stranding because I think it can be a comfy game that looks gorgeous on my new ultra-wide. Which it does! But was not comfy yet. ![]()
Also I thought this is just a meme but I cannot count how often I got the “Directed by: Hideo Kojima” overlay in the prologue. ![]()
It’s a Walking Simulator Game.
The in game world was quite realistic and beautiful, I remember playing it during covid time. It is a slow game - rebuilding the infrastructures due to fading off and doing the Amazon delivery.
However I loved the thrilling soundtrack and antenna pointing the ghostly creatures (BT or something) after I got the cute baby.
I liked the concept of time with rain.
Hope they take these points on Death Stranding 2.
I would highly recommend From Software games like Elden Ring or Sekiro. Trust me @Urben you will not regret
. My
and
best games of all time are these two (ofcourse Hitman is
)
I’m a few hours into Metaphor, and really enjoying myself. Like I said, I tend not to be much of a fantasy guy, but I am really enjoying the story and world building. The Persona comparisons are pretty undeniable, but I don’t see that as a bad thing.
The Archetype system that replaces Personas/Demons is interesting, although at its core it basically is just a job system, but I am quite early in the game where currently I only have 6 unlocked, and there’s something like 40 in the game total. But I do enjoy the freedom you get with how you get to choose what character gets what archetype, you can make some very interesting parties. Also, can I just say but thank god they got rid of the mechanic where if the protagonist dies in combat, it’s a game over, even if other party members are still able and can revive them? Just, thank you, please get rid of it for Persona 6.
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, so far it has been excellent.
For some reason, I felt the urge to play Sleeping Dogs again. Maybe it was the pork buns I had the other day.
Seems like there’s no cloud save to pick up from where I left off last time but it’s been a few years anyway, so I probably would have started from the beginning either way.
It’s one of the best games ever, so starting over ain’t that bad ![]()
About to try a little bit of the PSVR2 remake of Arizona Sunshine - a zombie-killing action game that got good reviews and a sequel back in the day…
Also, I should buy “ps5 upgrades” the second they come out when I can…! It happened again! I got the “pre-order bonus” for buying it after it was already out, and for the upgrade price!
I saw the game was actually “releasing” digitally at 1pm today for some reason, which I was excited to play earlier today before work… ah well! I set a timer!
And when that time came around, the store page was a little screwy. Not detecting that I’m eligible for a PS5 upgrade, and the purchase button (to see if it changes in my cart) giving me an error.
After a few tries, it worked! I got charged my 13$ upgrade, and also got access to the pre-order special DLC! This also happened with TLOU2R earlier this year, so that’s cool!
Saving money on the “new version” and also saving money on getting a free little DLC too! ![]()
Hehe I’m such a scamp, breaking the system like this
Blazed through the main story and am now going to do the remaining content and try to get all achievements.
What a great game! I had forgotten how cool the melee system was. Makes me wish that the Bond game will have something in that vein.
have you tried sifu?
I was intrigued before the release, because of the setting and style, but after trying it out, I wasn’t that keen on it and ended up not getting it myself. It might just have been the difficulty to be honest
.
yeah, that’s fair. it was super punishing at release.
(they added difficulty select since, mind.)
Was feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to play the whole Command & Conquer series from start to finish. Well… Found out there’s a remastered version on Steam (from 2020). Has at least a few parts in it. Have all of them anyway already, but why not.
Now here’s the problem. Not one of the games starts. Tried to fix this for almost a week now. No success. I give up. Will probably never be able to play those great games again. Anyway. Playing some Hitman instead.
Hmmm, only thing on PCGamingWiki related to the games not starting is this
Are you using MSI Afterburner by any chance, seems this might cause issues (for some weird reason) ![]()
Didn’t try this. Was updating everything else. Made it worse somehow. Now even Hitman isn’t starting anymore. Trying with a fresh clean install of Windows. Can’t hurt from time to time.
I replay Red Alert 1 every 4-5 years. So awesome and simple in a good way. It’s so weird that these type of games aren’t mainstream anymore?
To my surprise I really love Elden Ring. I have almost beating the whole game, but that god damn Elden Beast and Malenia I can’t beat. I simply can’t and I have seen YouTube-guides and all at this point
