I tried to land on Dark Bramble once during my initial exploration of the system. It did not go well. 
Same here. Trying to get through the nest is probably the first time I’ve been genuinely scared at a video game.

Am replaying Hitman 2 for my YT channel. Also, I got Tropico for free off of Epic and I’m hooked. Other games are RDR Online as I finished the story and Madden 20. I do have Xbox Ultimate so and always looking to see what is available.

I finished Devil May Cry 2 as Dante and I want my five hours back.
It’s one of the worst games I’ve ever played. So many things were ruined, that I ended up writing an extremely long post that shows why DMC 2 is so bad, which is why I’ve hid the entire post. Read it only if you have a lot of time in your hands; it’s a long one.
Why DMC 2 is awful
So what did DMC 2 ruin? Well, melee combat, Dante’s personality, Dante’s face (he looks really creepy), the Stinger (my most used special move in the first game), the level design, the bosses, the difficulty, the story, the characters, the designs (except for Dante), the cutscene direction, the look of the levels, the secret missions, the exploration, the interactions with the world and pretty much everything established in the first game.
Hell, you only get two extra swords which function almost identically from the default one, so there’s even less creativity in the combat than expected. No cool fire gloves or unique skills or bonuses depending on your Devil Arm (melee weapons); just higher or smaller range. It’s better to just use the default sword, the Rebellion, since it’s perfectly balanced and is overall much better than the other two swords.
And when it comes to firearms, they’re too good. I literally killed every boss by shooting like a madman, including the final boss. And once you get the submachine guns, you just hold Square (or X on XBOX) and you automatically win. Don’t even get me started on when you’re using your Devil Trigger, where Dante literally shoots thunder out of his hands like machine guns. It destroys any enemy in the game and makes bosses a bad joke.
And don’t even get me started with the story. If DMC 1 has an interesting, personal and emotional story, DMC 2’s story has nothing going for it. Playing on Dante’s disc (there’s a disc for each character), Dante just stumbles upon some dramatic situations which he doesn’t understand and acts like he’s always in control of the situation, and information is just thrown at him and subsequently the player without having room to breathe. For example, Dante learns that he needs to stop a bad guy, who I will call Bootleg Dracula (I forgot his name and he reminds me of Dracula, which is why I call him that) by a woman called Lucia. Dante agrees, and is later promised that he’ll be told a story about his father, Sparda, by Lucia’s mother. In case you didn’t know, Sparda was a living legend and a hero, so both the player and Dante are interested in hearing about him. We’re then told that Bootleg Dracula is actually a millionaire that’s corrupted society to the core and is almost ready to open a gateway to hell, and Dante just says “ok cool”. Of course, none of this was established in the first game. Dante then finds Lucia’s mother later on who basically says “save Lucia from Dracula” and Dante goes “okay”. So Dante goes to the city to fight him, and he finds him holding Lucia captive. Dracula then says he needs three artifacts to become the king of the world (really) and Dante gives him one, but it turns out to be fake. Then Dante saves Lucia and they escape. Lucia says that Dracula created her, but Dante ignores her and just goes to Hell for like fifteen minutes. He then returns to the city to kill Dracula, and succeeds. Then, it turns out that the gateway to Hell is open because… well, for no reason. Lucia is conveniently there and again reveals to Dante that Dracula created her, and that he should kill her because of it. Dante acts surprised for whatever reason, but then says “nah I’m not going to kill you, see you later”. Lucia says that Dante won’t know about his father’s story, but Dante says “Don’t worry. I already know it”. Except he doesn’t, the player doesn’t, and we never get to know. So Dante goes to Hell (actually The Underworld, but whatever) and kills the embodiment of despair, before picking up a motorcycle and… going deeper into Hell. And that’s where the game ends. What the fuck am I missing? Oh, right. There’s another disc where you play as Lucia… but it’s more of the same. You go through the exact same locations and I didn’t even bother with it. It’s just awful, since the main character gets jack shit explained to him, and we’re forced to play as a new character to at least understand some parts of the story.
Everything I liked from the first game is gone. There’s nothing good about this game. Fuck this game, I’m going to play DMC 3, I hope to God it’s a million times better than 2.

Yeah, it’s largely considered the worst of the franchise. 3 is much better.

I’ve been playing DMC 3 and my God, are you right. 3 is just what 2 should have been gameplay wise. The speed, the combos, the amount of weapons, the story, the characters… it’s amazing, really. The music, too. I’ve just beaten Dante’s story mode and I’m going to try out Vergil. Judging by his boss battles, he seems to be so fun to play… I really can’t wait!

Been playing Red Dead 2 , after I 100% I plan to continue the story with Red Dead 1. Pretty great games and miles ahead of anything else the studio has to offer in my opinion. (GTA is just bleh)

Red Dead Redemption 1 is the better game imo, I’ve enjoyed it more than 2.

You can say that again. RDR2 is such as slog. If you’re focusing on only the main missions / side missions it’s fine but everything else such as hunting / crafting / collectables etc. are really no fun. Did I even mention how much I hate that there’s an animation for interacting with pretty much everything? Seeing same animations for 100-200 hours makes me sick to my stomach. Still best western game on PC though

i absolutely hated how after every Cutscene my weapons were on my horse again and i had to pick them up again… i hate Rockstar, what happened to DMA?

i’ve been having a blast with the original deus ex the last couple days. it technically is my first playthrough but i had watched a full walkthrough on youtube before i had a laptop a few years ago and i do remember some chuncks of plot and what not. but it doesn’t take away from the experience at all. the lore details and the dialogues are just so well written with characters reacting differently to certain decisions you make. the gameplay has a great variety of approach and i really appreciate the quick saves that allow you to experiment without fear of losing much progress after having used to play exclusively on ps4 for so long. there are so many places where you can avoid obstacles by building ladders of boxes combining it with the usage of some augmentations and it’s so fun to figure such stuff out. i suggest everybody to try this game. it is indeed considered one of the greatest for a reason

Well, I’m halfway through the World of Light in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I think the game has really began to click for me, starting to really understand how to play it, how to use a few characters so far. I probably won’t immedietly but I think when I have the spare cash I will eventually invest in the Piranha Plant + 2 season passes.
I guess I just really wish I could play this with friends, which I hear is the best way to play Smash. I have tried the online a couple times so far but have failed to connect, will need to try again later.

Never even heard of that! I would hope so since it was a pre-order bonus character, and Ultimate came out over 2 years ago now. There are some funny videos out there of whenever they add a new fighter to Ultimate, and it seems like half the time they wind up breaking the game.
I’m very much a Smash newbie, doubt I’ll ever put in much time into the online or anything, but if there is one thing I do appreciate, it is the large amount of meme content this game spawns.

I’m quite sure they fixed the problem, but i cant confirm it, so maybe check before downloading it

Yeah will do. I basically maim Kirby, he is tied with 2 other characters to have the most jumps at 6. He’s quick, easy to learn, and I use his down attack which turns him into a stone block alot on the AI because it is such an easy move to pull off. I’ve unlocked like 40 characters now, so really should be trying out more characters. And I’m still trying to unlock Sonic damnit!
