HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins (NEW DLC)

I’m also in the “Not buying” camp, right now. That said, I may be tempted to buy one or two of them if It comes with a suit I really like. Unlikely, but you never know.

By now, I’m almost entirely convinced the Butecher Suit will be related to Gluttony. After all, is like a reference to H:Contracts and the level with Sturrock.

Well said and with this correction of the price I suspect it will most likely be 7 Contracts/Escalations, but since I don’t know, I will not buy or pay up front for this content, will wait for all 7 is released and then see if it’s worth the money or not.

Thanks Happy_Squirrel. You summed up my argument. Companies are not evil just because they try to profit off of their consumers.

And IO-I is not broke:

But a good initiative from IO-I to the Doctors Without Borders :+1: :grinning:.

(That’s $94,428,18)

Good, maybe with that money those doctors will finally be able to buy some borders!

Aaanyway, I’m starting to think the devs may have coded themselves into a corner. Seems like another likely reason for the less interesting updates. Meaningful new items would require tweaks to the AI, new voice quips (male & female, with variants, plus all the translations), new character animations, etc. All that also needs QA so it works with all levels. Adding a new item in Hitman is probably more work than in other games.

For example, an item that lets you block doors fundamentally changes AI routing. It also probably needs some kind of failsafe, a way for NPCs to kick doors open, so new animations, plus some voice clips (“Anybody there? Please open”). On the other hand… making reskins and suits is pretty foolproof.

There’s a lot of past design choices that can’t be overhauled without a lot of work. The level mastery doesn’t make much sense anymore without episodic content and the “xp level” is just some random number with no real point.

In the same vein, still no working elevators, which was pretty conspicuous in Dubai.

While the team probably lost a lot of its original members that knew the ins and outs of their own creation. Just like the different graphics on the baldy himself, it just changed because it’s other people working on it now.

Takes a lot more work to adjust someone else’s code than your own.

Don’t want to sound ungrateful, but I think they should have donated their fleet of golden helicopters.

Do IO-I have golden helicopters!?, it’s a meme here from what I know, where does it come from? Just imagine me living under a rock for a couple months  and be kind to explain it to me.

Honestly I’m justing surfing on partial information myself. I read somewhere that Hakan Abrak has a helicopter. I think @MrOchoa might know more about it. I later thought it would make sense if this helicopter was made of gold. Today, I thought it would make even more sense for IO to have an entire fleet of them.

That’s probably why we didn’t see too many new things or significant change between entries. It would have been a way harder job to mess with the engine. (Even though I would have liked to see them get it to work, somehow.)

Pretty sure the meme came around when the Epic Exclusive announcement happened.

With the recent reveal of the Dubai gold helicopter, people would joke that Hakan was taking Epic’s money so he could have his own fleet of gold helicopters. It snowballed from there into the great meme we know today.

Thanks, I tried to search Google about IO Interactive and golden helicopters , no wonder why I didn’t find anything.

Well, they made a change for £, but there is still a small difference with euros.

Btf depends what you assume the ‘default’ currency is dollar, euro, or even krone

Neither of them should give £4.19 though :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Euro is much closer

Huh.

Meanwhile in Maple Bucks, the price is gonna be higher than 5$. How fun. (probably around 7$ I’d say. Maybe 40$ for the whole package.)

Honestly guys, if it’s not your thing don’t buy it. Let your financial inaction speak for itself.

Me, on the other hand? When you’re good to mama, mama’s good to you

If we got more than reskins, I bet people would be crying because the ones who paid got cooler, well deserved and unique items with special functions.

That’s a fair point but then on one hand it adds actual value to the price IMO. But I think the real reason that would be frustrating for people is that IO constantly makes reskins/ Mark IIIs. Even for the new “games”. So when something is actually new but paywalled that would be equally sour I agree.

Probably the volume of repeated haranguing about the premium DLC, voiced in the sensitivity, enthusiasm and criticism voiced on this forum does end up affecting the development of this DLC package.

Game developers envy a rabid fan base (although they probably find most of it annoying). It is a problem that most would love to have.

It is apathy when no one cares what you produce, that is the bigger problem.
