The negativity towards Hitman 3

But that isn’t any sacrafice. They doing missions all over the world anyway. I could say I’d rather sacrafice Ghost/Sniper Assassin or Escalations to have dialects and native speakers.

While I loved these game modes, I know a lot of people did not. Therefore I think IO’s focus change is justified, besides they are putting their attention into contracts mode which is a big selling point compared to the other two modes which weren’t played. If nobody plays the mode, then there is no point keeping it.

Again, the last thing we want is: Texas, Massachusetts, California, Ohio, London and one country with native speakers as a map line up. Yes it ruins immersion but I’d rather have immersive levels with different cultures and styles than America and England as most of the maps. Yes I love the America maps we already have but there are so many more places out there and I’m just happy we are getting the maps we are getting.

I really can’t fault you for wanting this but I really think this is the best option.

I doubt we will have ghost mode at all as for sniper assassin, I enjoyed the maps we got but I understand they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. They need to add content to give people more things to do and look forward to, I don’t personally like escalations much so I agree with you but there are people who will disagree.

Could disagree more. Can’t imagine wanting less content for the sake of dialects. Then again i don’t play this game to be immersed.

Believe me if them make a buggy and corrupted game as Hitman 2 was, be sure that them will never do hitman again. Cause what them did with Hitman2 was simply unacceptable, but i feel that it’s gonna be fine this time… I mean, would be very stupid in their position selling another broken product.

In general, I don’t notice things like accents at all unless I can’t understand them, but there were a few items, particularly in Hitman 1, that broke immersion for me. The voice/accent of the female hotel lady in Bangkok (Get Cracking!) just sounded so out of place that I laughed out loud when I heard it. The “snail soup, snail soup” guy just didn’t sound like he belonged in Marrakesh. Parvati in Colorado (because it was the same voice actor) sounding the same as the hotel lady in Bangkok was an issue.

When they released Hitman 2, the extra attention to detail and varied voices made that game better. I didn’t necessarily need localized accents, but the less distracting voices was much appreciated.

What are you talking about?

IOI themselves acknowledge there are plenty of bugs they have not fixed in this game.

Check “Known issues”.

This is to say nothing of the additional platform specific bugs of Stadia port as well (which they released after they stopped patching the game for some reason): HITMAN 2 Stadia Problems to be fixed in HITMAN 3

I’ve been under a rock a bit for this whole Hitman 3 build up.

I’m a bit out of the loop.

Not like some people not to be satisfied  IOI can’t do right for doing wrong.

Oh, they really do? They didn’t annouce anything about that.

And I don’t play this game to beat time scores  Hitman was always about immersion and puzzles. These “Speed runs” is a something that community created.

Preach it!

HITMAN is about freedom of approach and creativity. Speedrunning fits in perfectly with that.

So?

It seems it’s a big thing for you, which is ok, but you can’t be demanding something that it’s really down in the list of things IO have to worry about

Yeah, I agree with that. It’s about freedom of choice. But you got this same you other games. Difference is that Hitman have great Art Direction, huge imersion and level design which is one of the greatest features of this game, but you quite offen ignore that, because of pew pew speed runs  No offence, but It’s weird that something that great like a Art direction is this game can be just… ignored. And it’s one of biggest achivements of IO in this game. Thats why imersion is so important for me.

I’m looking forward for any news about improved Contract Mode.

HITMAN is about clown suits and wallbangs. Well, almost 100% about wallbangs really.

And I just love to collect all MK duplicates and watch them scrolled all day

Not on the same scale as hitman, not even close.

Agreed. It’s the level design that allows this freedom of approach.

What makes you come to the conclusion that speedrunners ignore level design? Together with the game mechanics it’s what we value the most. Strange obversation imo.

You do realise speedrunners spend way more time in this game than any other style right? Sorry for saying this, but you come across as a little misinformed when it comes to speedrunning.

And there is nothing wrong with that. All i said is that i personally don’t play this game to be immersed, i got other games for that like Witcher 3. And hence why i don’t care about accent, especially not valueing it over actual content.

i would imagine that top-tier speedrunners know the levels better than anyone. even the developers, in some cases.
